Yup, the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano (that track-derived moniker suffix was unveiled at the show today) is one of those cars that has to be seen in person to be fully understood. Verily as we waded through the sea of carefully buffed Eurotrash gatecrashers swilling about Ferrari’s stand (you were dead right about that Tom…) and caught our first glimpse of the 599, we instantly realised the error of our ways. Ferrari has been prepping a promo video for the 599 GTB’s coming out party at Geneva later this month. A clever clog over at rideroom.com bagged the 599 as it was filmed hitting speeds of up to 150mph alongside a classic F40.

We’re not sure if this is all part of Ferrari’s masterplan or whether picture leakage in recent days forced its hand. But Fezza has come clean on its new flagship front-engined coupe. Previously labelled as the F600, the new car will be known as the 599 GTB. It’ll be shown for the first time in Geneva at the end of Feb. And it’ll rock with no less than 620bhp.
