This is the new Fiat Panda Cross. A funky four-wheel drive version of your favourite friendly Fiat. Of course, Fiat will already flog you the Panda 4x4, so is the Panda Cross more style statement than first and foremost functional?

Fiat has wheeled out a special edition Panda at the Tokyo show. With a two-tone orange and white paint job and matching interior highlights the Panda Alessi either bravely drops ice cubes down the vest of conventional good taste or suggests the Italian car maker is a few cogs short of a full box. Whatever, the really interesting news is that it’s the real deal. European sales start next spring.
