385 Ferraris in Silverstone parade

Oh, we love a parade

As contrived and arbitrary world records go, the longest parade of Ferraris in history is up there with the best. But who cares, because you’d have to be an extremely miserable bar steward not to enjoy the sight of 385 Fezzas lapping Silverstone at the same time last weekend…

With officials from the Guiness Book of World record in attendance, the 60th anniversary event for Ferrari was held at the British race track and apparently tripled the previous record set just a month ago in spain. Several rare models such as the classic 250 GTO, a fleet of F1 cars and the uber modern FXX made an appearence. As well as the parade of 385 Fezzas on Saturday, a total of nearly 1,000 Ferraris turned up over the course of the weekend. Oh, and there were no less and no more than 40 F40 at Silverstone. Nice.

We believe the collective noun is a rag of F40s…

Along with these photos, check out the obligatory grainy web video linked below… despite the usual crappy YouTube quality, it’s gratifying to note that the F40 still stands out as comfortably the biggest head turner in the fleet.

It was and ever shall be thus.
