3 Series Touring hits the road

Due out in September, BMW has released pictures and details of the new 3 Series Touring. Surprise, surprise, it’s bigger than outgoing car and offers marginally more storage space. With the rear seats folded flat 1,385 of gear can be swallowed, putting the new Touring well ahead of the Audi A4 Avant and a whisker beyond the reach of the Merc C-Class.

Touring ownership will undoubtedly be nothing less than suburban bliss thanks to the carry-over split tailgate, separate seat aircon in the rear and the optional panorama sunroof. Which is nice.
