Hardcore Enzo caught on video

On paper, the Ferrari Enzo and its track-biased FXX sibling are hard to get excited about. With price tags well beyond the reaches of most mere mortals and styling that’s avant garde at best and batshit insane at worst, it’s easy enough not to care. But dammit, those red cars are hard to resist when you see and hear them them on the move, much less get behind the wheel. And the race car howl from an FXX caught on video is no exception.

For the record, the FXX’s sublime 6.2-litre V12 produces around 800bhp at 8,500rpm, while more aggressive settings on the F1 paddle-shift gearbox result in gear change times of under 100ms. Oh, and the FXX boasts a 40 per cent boost in downforce thanks to the extra winglets and spoilers.
