Coupe concept but no new metal?

Where exactly is Saab headed? With the latest rehash of the 9-5 saloon giving Saab aficionados the heebie jeebies, all eyes will be on the struggling Swedish marque’s stand at the Geneva show. A concept sports car will be on show that presages the company’s  new design direction.

The new(ish) 9-5. Is this what the future will look like from Saab?

According to Inside Line, the concept is two-seater coupe around the size of an Aston DB9. It’s apparently not based on any existing platform from parent company GM. Probably because it’s not based on any platform at all – it’s said to be a pure concept with no prospects for production. Here’s hoping Saab has more than just a design concept to show off in the near future
