London chosen for world’s largest Audi centre

£30 million project for 2008
It’s the ultimate reward for our finely honed sense of badge snobbery. Audi has begun work on a £30 million, seven-story showroom on the outskirts of London. The 17,667 square metre building is being erected on the Great West Road in Middlesex and will be the largest Audi Centre on the planet…
The five external and two subterranean floors will go well beyond the usual sales ‘n maintenance norm. A museum, flexible exhibition space, internet café and boutique will be among the additional Audi-themed accoutrements. Catered conference facilities will also be on offer (for a fee, natch).
When it opens for business in 2008, the new West London Audi super dealership will be one of three regional hubs in the UK. The others are Glasgow Audi (opened 2004) and Birmingham Audi (due early 2007). Thus ended a (very nearly) sarcasm-free post on Newswheel.
