The meaning of bling
It’s easy to forget that Audi’s A8 is one of the few mass-production motor cars constructed largely from aluminium. But German tuner MTM has provided an awesome reminder with this stripped-down-and-polished A8 for a customer in Dubai.
Unlike most all-chrome vehicles, the MTM A8 might actually be reasonably practical. After stripping and polishing the bodywork, MTM applied a clear-coat lacquer to provide a protection for the panels against the elements. Plastic components such as the bumpers and wing mirror housings were treated with a complex enameling process in order to mimmick a polished metal finish.
And of course MTM didn’t leave the engine untouched. Into the recess between the 4.2-litre V8’s cylinder heads goes a supercharger, bumping peak power output to around 450bhp and increasing twistage to 390lb/ft.

Tacky? Yes. Tasty? Definitely.
