New TT caught with minimal disguise

A little less distinctive than the original?
Audi’s second-gen TT has been caught by the intrepid, some might say ubiquitous, Mr Hans G Lehmann. Everyone’s favourite tree-dwelling scoop photographer bagged both the hard-top and soft-top models wearing almost no body camo during cold weather testing.
The pictures have been syndicated by several sites across the web and verify what we already knew – the new TT takes its cues from the TT Shooting Brake concept shown at the Tokyo last year. The pictures also confirm the new TT will be a little less extreme than the stunning concept-car-made-reality original. Although many details remain familiar, including the slopping tailgate, clamshell bonnet and stubby overhangs, the overall proportions appear to have lost just a little of their crisp Bauhaus purity.
