Ford turns on the style
Ford ripped the wraps off the S-Max and Focus CC a few hours ago. Of course, like most of the other cars due to debut at Geneva, the surprise had been spoiled by the release of official PR images prior to the show. Still, a first hand viewing always helps to sort the sheds from the sure things…
Ford suits: If in doubt, smile and look plausible
And sure enough, the Pinifarina-built Focus CC is a rather elegant beast under the show lights. It’s certainly not as fat of arse as we had feared and it even manages to make the poo-brown metallic hue Ford has doused the showpiece car in look pretty classy. Not a bad trick. Ford announced that the CC will be cruising boulevards before the end of 2006.
Out of the way lads, it’s the car we’re interested in.
As for the S-Max, it’s another very competent effort from Ford’s Euro design bods. Perhaps not as concept-car dramatic in person as in pictures, but attractive and athletic for an MPV, nonetheless. We’ll update with pictures of the nicely executed interior once the throng of hungry journalists dies down…
