Ricers get ready
A show car in theory. But surely the real production deal won’t be all that different. Honda presented the Civic Type-R concept at Geneva on Tuesday. And there was much rejoicing.
But not as much as there might have been. After all, 200bhp from just two litres of swept capacity used to be a party trick exclusive to Honda’s VTEC engines. But now everyone’s at it. So, assuming the series production Type-R doesn’t add to those 200 ponies, there’ll be no forgiving if it can’t match its revvy twin-cam lump with equally impressive chassis dynamics…
