Mystery man delivers cash injection
Worried about the ominous silence emanating from the Leicestershire HQ of small-time sports car outfit Noble? We have been, too. But fret no longer, all is (apparently) well. Although the details are currently borderline non-existent, Noble has revealed that a cash injection from an unnamed backer has secured the future of the company and also allowed for further development of the upcoming M15 supercar…
In a newsletter to members of the Noble owners club, eponymous head honcho Lee Noble said, “for some time now I have been working towards assuring the continued financial security that would enable me to further develop the Noble brand. I am very happy to announce that I have now, with immediate effect, successfully teamed with a dedicated owner who shares my commitment, passion and vision for the future of Noble cars and their continued production and development.
"We are now in the best place we have ever been…the world’s best affordable supercar is about to get even better."
Noble’s new secretive sugar daddy replaces David Jones, chairman of highstreet fashion chain Next, with whom Noble had clearly fallen out. “He’s gone and it’s a good thing too”, said Noble of Jones to Car magazine.
As for details of the uprated M15, it’s not known whether the existing 455bhp Ford-derived V6 will survive the transition. However, Noble spokesbod Peter Boutwood has confirmed the car’s styling will remain more or less identical to the PR prototype originally shown back in April. Noble now reckons deliveries of the £74,950 M15 will kick off in early 2007.

How come all these tiny manufacturers always want to build loads of different models. Shouldnt we have learnt by now car making is more about production than about design, thats why people buy jap washing machines on wheels not alfas - cos they are produced properly.
Produce 1 good model with 1 engine and get some volume and production consistency, efficiency and reliability and maybe you might make a profit one dim and distant day.
