New flagship takes on past master in video tasty
Ferrari has been prepping a promo video for the 599 GTB’s coming out party at Geneva later this month. A clever clog over at rideroom.com bagged the 599 as it was filmed hitting speeds of up to 150mph alongside a classic F40.
The video spot takes in the usual canyon road race action, on this occasion located in the bad lands of Fire State Park, near Las Vegas, and largely filmed from a helicopter. Apparently, the production team filmed a number of burn outs and skids. So it goes.
But if all of this is grist to the supercar promotion mill, the pictures do at least prove the 599 will look a lot less like a chitzed-out Hyundai in the metal than it did in those initial PR images. Even better, it seems the seriously nasty star-design alloys, as seen in those original pictures, may not be compulsory after all.

Damn, the 599GTB actually looks rather sexah. And mercifully, these multispoke wheels are a huge improvement…

…on these dodgy rims
