X-Type update: the end is nigh

Goodbyeee!
We reported back in April that X-Type production had been cut following poor sales. Now US tome Motor Trend is reporting that the car won’t be replaced. Originally due out in 2007, it’s likely the next X-Type has fallen prey to poor financial conditions across Ford’s ailing empire. We may have a soft spot for Jaguar, but we won’t be sad to see the back of the X-Type. The brand deserves better.
We’ll post an update as soon as further information becomes available.
