Deliveries in June for BMW’s 343bhp Cayman killer
The Z4 Coupe, including an M derivative, has been given the green light. That much we already know. But the really good news is that the car will be available as early as June next year.
Eurocarblog.com is claiming that BMW has officially announced that the launch date for the new Z4 and Z4M coupes will be June 2006. The swifter than anticipated roll-out of these new models is apparently thanks to an “enthusiastic public reception” for the Z4 Coupe concept at the Frankfurt motor show back in September. The engine line up will include BMW’s fab new magnesium-alloy 3.0-litre straight-six in the same 265bhp trim as found in the new 3 Series along with the legendary S54 variant of the M Division’s 3.2-litre six pot packing the same 343bhp as the outgoing M3. As yet, there’s nothing on BMW UK’s press site, but the news seems plausible enough.
